Educational Area

The inspiration to create the educational space at the Syracuse Museum is from the founder Maria Gabriella Capizzi. Since 2019, located in Via Mirabella 31, the Museum has established itself as a center of reference and meeting, designed to bring children closer to educational experiences. “The goal is to combine theory with practice, promoting focus and concentration through the involvement and active participation of the whole family.”

Educational Space: A Path Dedicated to Experimentation
The Educational Space area, focuses on education and learning to stimulate developement. Located inside the Archimedes and Leonardo Museum, the Educational Space is the ideal end of the path for younger visitors, where the educational experience becomes interactive and engaging. This area, designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity, also offers children the opportunity to explore, disassemble and arrange gears in a safe and stimulating environment. Our goal is to promote a dynamic learning experience, where even young children not only observe but also interact directly with the scientific principles on display, learning through experiencing. Experimentation is encouraged to foster discovery and creativity, making the educational experience unique and memorable.

The Educational Space is the finishing stage of a journey that began with the observation of the historical models of Archimedes and Leonardo, and here children can apply what they have learned, actively participating in the construction and handling of mechanisms. Each gear, lever or pulley they manipulate becomes a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practice, enriching their understanding of the scientific world and its wonders. Our museum is not just a place to passively observe, but a space in which to actively experience science and history. Following our directions, listening to explanations and reflecting together with your children helps bring out the educational potential of each visit. It is an opportunity to spend time in a meaningful way, away from the daily routine, immersing oneself in the wonders of knowledge.
